I called up Spears A/C and Heating after coming home to a warmer than normal home one evening. I expected a service call the following day but Steve said he'd send a technician right over. 15 minutes later, someone was at our front door. After checking our system, the serviceman said he had to go back to the office to get the necessary equipment for the job. 30 minutes passed and it was Mr Spears himself who came to finish the job. He determined the problem was much more extensive (coil replacement) than he originally anticipated and would have to check on getting a replacement part the following day. Worried about have my 2 children try to sleep in the stifling heat, Steve said he would add freon to our system so we could have some relief. Before leaving, he said he was going to check to see if our coil would still be covered under the manufacturer warranty. Who does that!?!? Needless to say, I was amazed. Fast forward to today, coil replaced, cool home, satisfied customer. The business practices of this company are second to none. Without a doubt, Spears A/C and Heating will continue to get all future business from our family and I will refer all family and friends to him for any a/c & heating needs.

There are few things worse than going to put your newborn to sleep and realizing that your upstairs AC unit isn't working! I immediately got on Yelp to find an AC repair company, called the best one that I saw (intending to leave a message), he answered, diagnosed the problem over the phone and headed over. The whole issue was discovered and resolved in about 30 minutes! Anyone in the Clear Lake or League City area needing AC repair, call Steve Spears with Spears AC & Heating. He took care of it quickly and honestly and even though it was after hours, there was no additional fee- the repair only cost us $175. After it cooled off, our baby went right to sleep! Thank goodness!

Steve dropped everything for me! * He showed up at my home within 15 minutes (at 9:30PM on a Tuesday night) * Fixed my A/C within 5 minutes * Very kind and professional * Didn't overcharge me! Was a very affordable fix. I will never go anywhere else for my A/C problems.

Steve was very awesome! I called around on a Sunday morning at 6am. Air Max could not come out until 4pm-6pm. Steven actually saw he had a missed call and called me. About 15 mins after the call he was here it also took about 15 mins to fix the fuse. It was $100. which is very reasonable, air max wanted 200 just to come out. Thank you Spears my husband got much needed rest because of you!

Can't say I do many reviews but needed to do this one. AC died on a Friday night, panicked, looked around, came across Spears AC and Heating...good reviews. After spending the night in a house without AC, I needed action, not promises. Long story short, called and spoke with Steve Spears. He came out in no time. Very nice, personable, easy spoken gentleman. Went to the source and jumped right in. Explained what wasn't working and what needed fixing. He got the AC working, explained bill, didn't talk to me like I was stupid (but I was ignorant). Was left with good understanding of what work had been done. (And the bill was reasonable, too!) Any AC problem in the summer is scary and inconvenient, esp. on a weekend. If you want comfort in Texas, AC is a must have. So finding a company that is not trying to fleece the consumer in a time of panic is rare. I highly recommend Spears AC and Heating. I don't think you can find any better in the field or this area.

Picked this provider after my usual A/C service company was overbooked on the July 4th weekend based on the few but excellent reviews. Needed an emergency visit after finding my outside A/C unit was not starting. Called Spears, he called right back and over the phone agreed it was probably the startup capacitor - the fact that he was thinking "repair call" and not "sales opportunity" had me knowing I picked well from the start. He had to troubleshoot the unit not getting power - and it turned out to be a power relay with a insect that had gotten fried - so literally a bug in the system! $70 for the visit was well worth it - and his phone was ringing so he was on to the next call. While I have no issues with my "normal" company, I feel like Mr. Spears is a good choice for a A/C service. Many thanks to him for the great work!

We had a problem with our A/C unit and he came by as soon as possible, figured out the problem, and had everything fixed in less than 24 hours. He was very professional and very reasonable

I came home to find that the upstairs unit wasn't running at all. It was close to 8:00 pm and my toddler was beyond ready for bed. Unfortunately, in the midst of summer, it was over 80 degrees upstairs and in no condition for sleeping. I called and Steve was at my house within 30 minutes and has the unit running in no time. To top it off, he only charged me for a regular trip since it was only a broken fuse. He did a great job and was honest!

Great service! Had a service issue with my AC. Spears AC came in 45% below the original quoted price from a competitor. Spears has my business from here on out.
